Welcome to the Still Life Project
The Still Life Project is an ongoing work to compile a written resource book that opens up the discussion and advances the understanding of stillbirth, infant death and pregnancy loss – as told by those who have lived experience.
Focusing on first hand accounts; these are then interposed with discussion chapters relevant to this still taboo topic, with the final product to be modern and informative.
As this project is evolving there are still ways you can contribute.
For further information on this project and/or to see how you can add your voice by contributing your experience, please follow the contact links on the page or message Till at till.heike-woods@westnet.com.au
Till has been involved in stillbirth support since her daughter’s death in 2014.
Since that event, Till became President of Sands Western Australia (miscarriage, stillbirth & newborn death support), and is a writer and Advocate for Still Aware (Stillbirth Prevention Awareness) all whilst running her own website, Blue Sky & Lullaby (thestilllifeproject.org) She currently works with Red Nose Australia in Bereavement support.
As an Artist, she was commissioned by the State governments of Vic and ACT to provide the artwork for their Commemorative Certificates, available through Births, Deaths and Marriages in those sates.
Till's writing has been featured by Mamamia, The Antenatal and Postnatal Psychology Network, The Daily Mail, Scary Mommy and the Australian Broadcasting Association(ABC) mainly focusing on her work on subject of bereavement.
